A Look Back at 2021: What We’re Thankful For
November | 2021

It’s that time of year when we all come together to take a look at the year that was and what we’re thankful for.

Thank you from Badger Paperboard

This year has had its challenges — with supply chain issues and material price increases just to name a few — but it has also been full of positives, like the return to in-person events and an expansion under our belt.

Keep reading to see what we’re thankful for this year.

Thank You to Our Distributors and Customers

First off, we’d like to thank our distributors and customers for their patience this year. We’ve had farther lead times than we’ve ever seen in the past, the mills had everyone on allocation, and freight was at an all-time high. Lumber pricing was up more than 300 percent, and adhesives were up more than 80 percent.

“The team at Badger Paperboard was working overtime every single week to make sure our customers’ chipboard, BadgerKorner, and BadgerKrate needs were met to make sure your production needs went unaffected,” says Chad Kravick, Vice President of Badger Paperboard.

Badger's In Person Events

This year also brought back the return of in-person events, and we had a great time in Las Vegas meeting with you and discussing all your chipboard needs at our booth at Pack Expo 2021.

Thank You to Our Team

From customer service to our folks on the production floor, every member of our Badger team worked together to make sure we went above and beyond for our customers and distributors, even with a milestone year.

No matter what they encountered this year, our team delivered on the Badger Promise — delivering fast turnarounds, responsive service, custom products, and putting your needs at the heart of everything we do.

“We take every single piece of business we have very personally — I don’t care if it’s a single pallet or multiple truckloads — they are all extremely important,” Kravick says. “We fight hard to earn every account and make sure we earn the right to continue to enjoy the relationship.”

Looking Ahead to the Future and Our Growth

This year, Badger also announced our acquisition of Falcon Packaging in Houston, Texas.

“We are very excited about working with our distributor partners in the southwest to expand this market,” says Kravick.

This acquisition enables Badger to provide additional production and warehousing capacity, which means a faster turnaround for our southwestern customers.

It’s our goal to make everyone a Badger fan, and we hope we did this year. We can’t wait to see what next year holds. Thank you for being a Badger fan!
